The Sophos APX Series hardware models have reached end-of-sale. The AP6 Series is the recommended replacement.

Important dates

Final purchase date: March 31, 2024
End-of-life (EOL) date: December 31, 2027
In most cases, customers can enjoy full functionality up to the end-of-life date. If an APX is managed from a firewall with an EOL date before December 2027, the access points will need to be moved to a supported platform to maintain functionality.

Accessories and PoE information

All APX models are supplied without a PoE injector. Check technical specifications to determine requirements.

PoE injectors

Determine whether 802.3af (PoE) or 802.3at (PoE+) is required based on the model. PoE injectors are available for separate purchase.

802.3af (PoE): APX 320 — up to 15.4W per port
802.3at (PoE+): APX 530, 740, 320X — up to 30W per port

A PoE+ (802.3at) injector also supports PoE (802.3af).

Mounting kits

Optional mounting kits are available for the indoor APX 320, APX 530, and APX 740 for flat-ceiling, plenum, or suspend mount configurations.
