Sophos Access Points The smarter way to simple, secure Wi-Fi
Sophos AP6 Series
Cloud management
The AP6 Series is a range of indoor and outdoor Wi-Fi 6/6E access points for management from the Sophos Central platform. With a broad feature-set and ultimate scalability, our cloud-managed models offer performance to suit both general Wi-Fi usage and the high throughput requirements of medium and high-density environments. Customers using other Sophos products can manage their Wi-Fi in the same console as all of their other security solutions. A local management option is also available for a single AP.
Wi-Fi 6/6E is the best choice for broad device support, excellent data rates, and enhanced security.

Sophos Wireless: Cloud-managed Wi-Fi in Sophos Central
Our cloud-managed Wi-Fi is a simple, scalable solution best suited to customers who want the latest innovations and technology support. It is also best suited to customers who:
are new to Sophos and not currently using any other Sophos products
are already using other Sophos solutions in Sophos Central
are not planning to implement a UTM or Firewall from Sophos
want to benefit from cloud scalability and adopt an OPEX-based cost model
Controller-managed Wireless
If you're already using Sophos UTM or Sophos XG Firewall, then you can use your existing appliance as a Wireless controller. Find out more under:
All APX models are supplied without a PoE injector. Check the technical specifications to determine if you need 802.3af (PoE) or 802.3at (PoE+). PoE injectors are available for separate purchase.
Mounting Kits
Optional mounting kits are available for the indoor APX 320, APX 530, and APX 740 for flat-ceiling, plenum, or suspend mount.
Antenna Options for APX 320X
In addition to the omni-directional antennas supplied with the unit, we also offer external antenna options for the outdoor APX 320X to meet the requirements of some additional usage scenarios. These are available for separate purchase.
120° sector antenna
30° directional antenna
As the name suggests, the standard omni-directional antennas are designed to provide relatively even coverage around the unit in all directions. These are suitable for usage scenarios where the connecting clients will be distributed around the access point, but particularly in some outdoor areas, there may be obstructions which can interfere with the signal.
With directional/sector antennas you achieve targeted, better coverage at an extended range, and reduce signal wastage.
Which PoE injector do I need?
802.3af = PoE (e.g., for APX 120 and APX 320)
The IEEE 802.3af (PoE) standard supports the delivery of Power over Ethernet up to 15.4W per port that may be used to deliver power to a variety of devices. However, only 12.95W is assured to be available at the powered device as some power is dissipated in the cable as overhead.
802.3at = PoE+ (e.g., for APX 530, 740 and 320X)
The IEEE 802.3at (PoE+) standard supports up to 30W of power on the ports (25.5W after dissipation), allowing devices that require more than 15.4W to power on when connected to the PoE+ ports.
*Note: A PoE+ (802.3at) injector will also support PoE (802.3af), so if you’re not sure, take the PoE+ injector.
